Back in the days when Chesterland had one traffic signal, one drug store and a lot less traffic, Milan Kapel, Sr. and a few other friends saw an opportunity to move East and purchase what is now known as Berkshire Hills Golf Course. From 1965 until 1980 it was operated as a "private" country club, where members could enjoy a gourmet dinner and dance in the Clubhouse after a delightful day of golf, swimming or a game or two of tennis, Today, 40+ years later, the swim club is still operated as a private club, however, the 18 hole championship golf course and the clubhouse that is one of the premier catering facilities in North Eastern Ohio, are now open to the public.  Click Here for more History on how Berkshire became Berkshire

Do you wish your approach shot to the green was just a bit easier? Would you rather hit an iron into the green vs. a fairway wood or hybrid? If you want to play faster and have more fun, move up a set of tees and

Too many golfers think of their games NOT in terms of what they usually do, but in terms of what they rarely do.  Kudos to clubmaker Barney Adams for speaking out and suggesting golfers play courses at yardages they actually could handle.

LPGA Pro's should play from 9,600 yards and PGA Pro's should play from 12,320 yards just to make it fair!

Many amateurs are regularly hitting approach shots on a par-4 hole from 185 to 205 yards. The fact is , most bogey golfers only hit approach shots generally with any accuracy from within 170 yards. When you TEE IT FORWARD, you have the potential to hit approach shots from 145 to 165 yards. You will be hitting more lofted irons that will help you play faster and have more fun!

Join your friends and look forward to a new, positive experience on the golf course and move up a set of tees and TEE IT FORWARD!

TEE IT FORWARD received great feedback in 2011 from golfers nationwide who reported:

• 70% had more fun

• 47% played faster

• 91% will TEE IT FORWARD again

• 52% are likely to play golf more often
